We're sorry to report some bad news regarding Zitader Design's Maschinen Krieger items. From November 2007 until July 2008, we carried and sold four Ma.K-related items produced by Zitader Design:
Unfortunately, these items have turned out to not be properly licensed. Earlier, Zitader was granted permission to produce and sell the three conversion kits for a one-day event. (These one-day permissions for use of copyrighted characters and mecha are commmon in Japan; otherwise, there would be mostly empty tables at Wonder Festival...) After the event, though, Zitader continued to sell the leftovers. When those ran out, they made more, and sold them using copies of the proof of sale authorization. Meanwhile, the Pilot Head Set #1 was never licensed by Zitader. It's a reworking of an existing Ma.K item created by a different artist for a different manufacturer. In order to help uphold the law and protect the intellectual property rights of Kow Yokoyama, the creator of Maschinen Krieger, we're accepting the unconditional return of the items listed above for a refund of the cost of the item(s), the shipping to you, and the cost of shipping back to us, issued by the same method by which you originally paid. For detailed return instructions, please e-mail us at trouble@hlj.com. While we're sure our customers understand that HLJ had nothing to do with the production of these items, it is of course our policy not to handle merchandise that is not properly licensed. We regret that this occurred, and we are taking steps to better police incoming new products for potentially infringing items in the future. |
